With the U.S. Women’s Open Championship on the horizon, it is fun to reflect on my career and the many great memories I have had with the USGA, from the 1973 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship title to my second major championship trophy at the 1980 U.S. Women’s Open Championship and many more opportunities in the decades that followed. History will be made mid-summer when the best golfers compete at Pebble Beach for the first time in its history. I look forward to cheering them on, watching tee to green with anticipation of who will hoist the trophy at the end.
